Mingle & Jingle!!!

Welcome to my first ever hosted Meet & Greet! Come on in, make yourself at home, and meet some amazing new people 🙂

Simply leave your link to your blog/other social media in the comments, tell us a little about your blog if you want, make some new friends, and reblog only if you wish!

In my last post I asked you all what your favorite type of cookie was- and there was a reason for this!! I did my Christmas baking this weekend and used all your suggestions to try something different from my usuals.

Hence, at this Mingle & Jingle, I have your favorite treats (which quickly became my favorite too!). Thank you for allowing me to expand my horizons this Christmas baking season; I loved the different traditions that I learned about and incorporated. Plus everything was absolutely delicious!!!!

    1. Hehe, Thanks! We have been passing them around to neighbors, friends, and family and keeping a slightly selfish amount for ourselves 😉 Thank you for stopping by!

  1. Thank you for including me for Biscuits, ha ha. I rather missed the point of the recipe didn’t I Doh! I have to say I don’t bake often as being a household of just two, if I bake it we have to eat it, ALL. Not good for the disappearing waistline. https://creatwithbarb.com.au is me. I make greetings cards and run classes to teach others papercrafts. Would love you to drop by sometime.

    1. Haha, no I am soo glad you said biscuits!!!! DJ and I loveeee them, so they certainly were thoroughly enjoyed 🙂 And I totally understand on eating it alll- something about home baked goods that are irresistible!!! Thank you for sharing- I love your creations!

  2. OMG. This is SO creative & sweet, kenzie! I saw my fav cookies as soon as I looked at the pic lol. I mean talk about engaging with your readers. You are a genius. Seriously. I so appreciate my readers and just wanted to do a little something special 😊 Have such a great rest of your week and I so appreciate you stopping by !!!!!

      1. Thank you, Mack! That means a lot to me! I did manage to go to sleep without snacking but I dreamed of Sugar Plum Fairies bearing baskets of cookies and treats all for ME! lol

    1. Thanks for stopping by Sijo!!!!!!!

    1. “Cookie heaven” might be the best compliment I have ever received! Thanks so much for stopping in, Brittany 🙂 Your blog is adorable!!!! 💓

    1. Aww thank you, Rhiannon!!!! It’s the one time of year that no one can judge me for making an absolutely absurd amount of sweets 😜 Have such a great rest of your week, dear!! 💓

  5. You’re so sweet! It looks like I need to try out some of these new to me recipes too! That last one especially looks to die for with all of that chocolate!

    1. It’s so good- you would love it!!!! It’s posted by another blogger too, which I love! Some of them are just Betty Crocker/ allrecipes
.com but that one is home grown 🙂 Thanks for stopping by, Heather!!!!

  6. Mouth watering Mackmarie! Hi Ya’ll I am Mackenzie’s Mom and I am not a blogger.. I would like to say our Christmas cookies look liked this when she was growing up but not a chance.. This is at a whole new level. Thanks for all the ideas and introducing yourselves. I see a few blogs I am going to check out , oh, and some new cookie recipes I am going to try as well. Great idea Kenz!

    1. Awww thanks, Momma ❤️❤️ I still am awaiting your macaroons and Pete’s pumpkin crunch 😍 don’t eat it all before I get there 😘

    2. Hello, Mack’s Mom 🙂 I am so glad to see you here… I wouldn’t want to “sound” cheesy, or make Mack blush… But I just wanted to thank you personally for bringing up such a lovely, brilliant and thoughtful young lady! I “met” Mack through her blog, and I think I will soon run out of nice things to say about her, and have to repeat myself over and over… They say the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree, so I can only imagine what a great family you have… 🙂

      1. Dawwwwwww!!!! You are making me blush big time though 😊 I sent my mom a screenshot of your comment and she said it was so sweet!!! She said she is excited to comment back tomorrow 🙂 I wish she did have a blog because I know you two would get along great! Xoxoxox

      2. 🙂 🙂 🙂 Oh… no link, but I just wanted to mention… I was talking with chéri, discussing where he wanted to go on vacation next time we plan a trip together, and his 2 first choices were Chicago and somewhere…. in CALI! (and we’ve been in Chicago in the past – loved it)

So, might take a little while to get the budget ready for it and plan it wisely (but with you and Notthedane56 to give me advices, I am pretty sure it will be a charm), but Mack & Mom, get ready… Cyranny might tumble South to Cali sooner than I would have expected 🙂 🙂 🙂

  7. This is awesome, Mack! Thank you for the champurrado and all of the other delicious treats! <3 There's lots of great blogs to check out in here too! Hello everyone! It's nice to meet everyone here! I'm Lisa and my blog is Life of an El Paso Woman. I blog about music, life, El Paso, Texas, current events, etc. I'm now off to check out some blogs here. Thanks again for the great mingle and jingle, Mack!

    1. Lisa, I feel like I have been doing hot chocolate wrong my whole life! This stuff is going to have to be a staple around the holidays now. Thank you so much for the suggestion!!!! 💕

      1. Thank you for sharing it, Mack! It’s a must over here! ❤ You did an awesome job with everything! I’m so so impressed! 😃

  8. Oh wow, Mack!!! I didn’t think you were actually going to make all the cookies!!! This is such a clever idea–love it! I’m excited to check out the other blogs, too; such a variety of bloggers are on here — how exciting!

My blog is at https://followingthepathoflife.wordpress.com . While I started it in college as a life/faith/fitness blog for other young Christian women in college, it has since morphed due to graduation and marriage! Now I largely write about the amazing adventures God gives my husband and me “along the path of life” (Psalm 16:11), plus just some thoughts, life things, etc.

  9. How did you manage to make all those luscious looking treats and get a photo of ALL of them, without digging into them? I don’t think I would have been so disciplined, and my photo would have been multiple plates with nothing but little crumbs.
This is a brilliant idea, I especially like the music, I really feel like I am at a Christmas party.
I am a part-time blogger (blogging about anything that is on my mind – so I guess I am only a part-time thinker), writer (have 2 books out now), working on my 3rd book (very slowly). I can be found at https://sdgateswriter.com/

    1. Oh TRUST me …. there was a whole lot of digging in before, I just hid the crumbs 😉 That makes me so happy that you feel like you are actually at a party! Woohoo! I can’t wait to check out your place- I see that you are an NP. That is my ultimate goal (just graduated with my BSN!). Thanks for stopping by!

      1. I loved your post. I wish I had some of those delicious looking treats. I have been an NP since 1995 – best thing I ever did. Congratulations on getting your BSN – personally I thought getting the BSN was so much more strenuous than getting to be an NP. I do love my job, I work with kids, who are by far, much cooler than “big people”.

      2. That’s amazing! I admire you so much for that. I hope to say the same thing one day 🙂 I love that you work with kids too- that is a hard field to get into, but I bet it’s incredibly rewarding. Thank you for sharing with me!

  10. Good morning and Merry Christmas! What to my wondering eyes should appear on my computer screen this morning but gorgoeus Christmas cookies, holiday music and lots of friends to get to know! Thank you Mackenzie! Im having a wondrful time at your party in my pajamas! I can’t wait to visit everyone’s blog- thank you for letting us share! I am an author with a blog at http://www.jenabooks.com
I may be a little further on my journey then you- but I am still having a blast sharing love, laughter and a few happy hours in my books and blog. Love you!

      1. I came back for some more cookies! I am a friendly gal- so look for me on Twitter @jenabooks and Facebook- Jena C. Henry Author Thanks again Mackenzie- hope you are having a wonderful day!

      2. Hehe – Once again maybe you will have to make a flight back out here to help us finish them up ?! And Thank you!!!!!! You too 🙂

    1. Thank you for stopping by, Jena !!!!! I absolutely love your books- they are humorous and relatable !!! So excited to see you at this party :)Love you too! 🤗🎉

  11. Thanks Mack for hosting and posting all the delicious looking treats!
My blog is about a journey of a man recovering from himself basically. I try to use humor and a little bit of sentimentality to share my stories and lessons in life. I write from the perspective of healing through Christ but I don’t believe in assaulting with the message. I believe that I share my journey to help others who were lost like I was.

    https://greattogood.wordpress.com/2016/08/04/i-pet-my-fish/

    1. Wow- I love how you summed up your mission on your blog !!!!!! So well said! I have enjoyed reading your writing thoroughly ! Thanks for stopping by, B.! Oh- and thanks so much for the reblog!

  12. What a wonderful idea!! : ) You are totally always bursting with wonderful ideas. : ) I love love love that you made everyone’s favourite cookies (who’s going to eat them all?)!

    I find that yule log /very/ intimidating….. and tempting….. :)~

    1. Hehehe! I have yet to dig into it because we are taking it to our church group tonight- but oh man, it is SOOOO tempting. I can hardly take it! It just smells of all goood things sugar and chocolate. The rest of the cookies we have passed out to neighbors, family, and friends (keeping a selfish amount for ourselves, of course 😉 ) I hope you are doing so well and it always makes my day to see a comment from you 🤗

      1. Selfish amount — hahaha no way! You made them yourself! You’re entitled to a cookie-tummyache. :p :p

        I hope you’re doing well too! : )

    1. Ohhhh I cannot wait for you to try!!!!! They are SOOOO good! Just smush the Hersey kiss in as soon as you take them out of the oven and you are in for a treat 🙂 Thank you for stopping in!!!! 💕

  13. Reblogged this on Cyranny's cove and commented:

      1. I hope many Lovelies will join in… If not, I’ll go and get them one by one… We can’ let all those treats go to waste!! Btw, how long did you have to cook to make all of this??? It is absolutely A.MA.ZING!!!

      2. Hehe- it would be a shame for it to all go to waste, right?! 😉 I made a few here and there when I had a little extra time throughout the weekend, about three recipes each day! Thank you so much 🙂

  14. Reblogging this! Everything looks great! I’m looking at everything with my boyfriend and I said Oh my gosh, who does all this??? His answer? 1. Tricia is a wonderful friend of mine. She has written 3 books- start with Rabbit Trail- you will love it. Tricia tells of her growing up years, and her years of searching for faith. One of my favorites! She currently lives in Europe- so if we get a family trip organized- we can all stop by and chat!!

  21. oh yummy! I adore Cyranny’s danish rice pudding with almonds and cherries! My grandmother’s best friend used to make this sweet treat for us every year and thank GOD my brothers hated it! That left so much more for me! Didn’t know what it was called before now either…wow, I learn something new everyday here on WP! woot! cyr! why didn’t you send me an invitation to this cool meet and greet! You brat!
Oh holy heck, I forgot to say who I am and where I live for those that don’t know me! so so sorry about that! (Gosh, Suze, just how rude can you BE?)
I am Suze……for some oddball reason Linda and Cyranny call me Madame…..I don’t have any spare ladies to loan so I dunno where that moniker actually came from either……it is a puzzlement. Where was I?
OH yea!. ME! I am Suze and I live in Suziland. that’s located at http://www.suziland.net otherwise known as Obsolete Childhood.. really don’t write about anything at all. I just sort of blather and babble with an erudite post thrown in every now and then to confuse people. Going to write down each and every one of these recipes as I can not for the life of me figure out how to copy and paste them somewhere…….thanks so much Mack for hosting such a wonderful party!

    1. Madame Suze, Madame Suze… I did invite you and all the Lovelies this morning!! Next time I’ll send you a personal notice by mail 😉

For everybody else… Suze is an amazing, brilliant, fantastic friend of mine, and even if she can come up as a little rough on the outside, with her colorful language and her surprising expressions, she is the most softhearted lady (yes, yes Suze, you are a lady, just not lady-like :P). You have to come visit Suziland and scroll around. You are sure to get a good laugh or leave with something deep to think about, all depending on her mood of the moment. Oh, and I couldn’t leave without saying that Madame Suze is a comment specialist! No wonder she was the first nominee for my YMMBABP Award!

      https://cyranny.wordpress.com/2016/11/21/and-the-winner-is/

A day is never complete without a comment (or 12) from her… And I always wait impatiently to see her little alien @li@s in my comment list.

Oh… And if by any chance, you get to know her, and she gives you her adress, so you can send her a Christmas card, can you pass it on to me please? (her adress, not the card 😛 ) And don’t listen to her… I am not stalking her… She’s just playing hard to get with me, it’s kind of a running joke between us… Right Suze? Suze?? Where are you hiding again, you silly you!!!

      1. I had to take off with my hand written recipes and create some cookie magic in my yellow house with the turquoise posts that stands somewhere between Texas and Norway…….and I finished snickerdoodles and the butter cookies..still need to get that rice pudding into the fridge. I don’t know why I should though as there is only a teaspoon left of it to share with Poor George…wait! George doesn’t like rice! Nevermind I’ll just eat it now………yummy………………..thinking now I need chocolate or peanut butter. Now where did I put my recipe notes?

      2. oh wow…..i keep forgetting you’re just a kid! lol…a muumuu is a polynesian style dress…sort of like a HUGE bag with short sleeves in a pretty floral print…they go from size nuthin to about 120…………..think floral tent. lol

      3. LOL ok! I knew what a boubou was, but a muumuu, that’s new!! Less and less stupid, thanks to you, Suze 🙂

        Will you people stop saying I’m a kid? I’m not a kid! I’m not a kid! I’m not a kid! I’m not a kid! I’m not a kid! I’m not a kid! I’m not a kid! I’m not a kid! I’m not a kid! I’m not a kid! I’m not a kid! I’m not a kid!

*doing the bacon dance on the floor, in the middle of the living room, whining*

      4. i was going to put a pic of a muumuu in here but can not figure out exactly how to do so…………sigh

      5. I love getting spoiled! I’m the worst spoiled brat ever!!

But I always appreciate it 😉 And people just can’t resist when I make my Puss in Boots face!!

      6. oh.my.goodness. 😂😂😂😂😂😂 You two just made my whole life. This is the most fantastic conversation I have ever witnessed. Thank you for literally being the life of the party ! 🎉🎉🎉 . And Cyranny, thank you for introducing me to lovely Suze!!!! I am excited to give her a hard time now too 😜 (or is it the other way around?!?) tehehhe

      7. LOL My pleasure Mack… It took me a while before I could make my mind into sharing Suze (I just tried to keep her to myself), but I could not deprive the Bloggosphere from her sweet madness 🙂

Do you understand why I created a “best at commenting” Award in her honor now? 😛

    2. Hahah- Suze!!! You made me laugh out loud. I read your comment to my husband because I was giggling over here and he was wondering why. The rice pudding dish was absolutely amazing!!!! I have a tiny bit left and I am savoring every little morsel. I am so excited to read more of your blog!!! And OHHHHH- you are Madame!!!! I have heard Cyranny reference you often!! Your blog sounds so fun-especially if this comment is any indication of what I may find there 😉 So glad you are enjoying the party! Woohooo! Thank you for stopping by!

  22. What a great party! I could feast my eyes on all the treats without having to eat a single thing. I’m a sugar addict and that means I don’t indulge in tasting. But the cookies are not wasted (or waisted) on me. I enjoy baking–the sights and sounds are all I need. I feel best when others (who can) eat them and I hear the reports of how they taste! I wrote a book about learning to live with my sugar addiction. (The I’m Possible Journey: Learning to Live with Sugar Addiction.) My blog is impossiblejourneyblog.wordpress.com and my website is maureenaliprandi.com Jena C. Henry (The Golden Age of Charli) clued me into your delightful site! Best wishes to you! Cheers!

    1. Wow !! Thank you for sharing! Your blog & book sound incredibly interesting!!!! I cannot wait to check them out. (Also I liked your play on words with “waisted” greatly 😉 ) I am so excited that you found my little space through Jena. She is actually a dear relative of mine <3 Best wishes to you as well, Maureen!!! And I wish you a life that is sugar-free yet incredibly sweet!

      1. Maureen was one of my first friends on social media! Love her- I have her book and will share it with you- Maureen is a great guide to health and well-being!

  23. Holy smokes—what a fabulous party you have going here! I think I gained 15 pounds just reading. Wow! Thanks ! Jena Henry invited me and I never say no to her so here I am! I blog at It’s Just Life –Finding the Extraordinary in the Ordinary (www.itsjustlife.me) and write about a ton of different things including travel, inspiration/devotional thoughts, recipes, book reviews, Teapot Tuesday where I highlight a teapot from my massive collection, and anything else that just happens to pup up in my life! There is always something going on! I also do a Comments for a Cause where I feature a charity and for every comment made on my blog during that month my hubby and I donate 50 cents to that cause. Best. Thing. Ever. Great to meet you!

      1. I second Suze!!! So cool way to do something good!! But It’ll cost me a fortune. I’ll have to wait for when Suze breaks WP again lolololol

    1. Hi Beth!!!!! Thank you so so much for stopping by 🙂 Oh man, try actually having all this food in real life! *DANGER DANGER*. Lol. Jena is actually a relative of mine- have you read her books? I absolutely cannot wait to check out your site! It sounds right up my alley. I am so pleased to meet you, and I LOVE your idea for charity! Wow- I never even considered anything like that?! How brilliant! I hope to stay in touch!

      1. Yes–I have read her books and LOVE her! We have a lot in common and I feel like she is my sister in a lot of ways. I loved your post and think it is a great way to meet some new folks. So later–when life slows down I hope to visit each and every one! Thanks !

      2. Beth Ann and I met on Twitter. She won a book contest so I emailed her to get her address. As we emailed I learned…wait for this…she goes to Lakeside almost every summer! Our Lakeside! Reunion next year!!

  24. What a fun party filled with tasty new words and festive treats! I blog at, https://anotetohuguette.wordpress.com, a blog that lovingly writes a note each week to my lovely neighbour where I add in photography and poetry as well. 1. Your blog sounds so absolutely beautiful!!!!! I cannot wait to check it out- wow, what an awesome purpose! Thank you for stopping by and sharing with us. Have a blessed week, Kimberlee <3

      1. Hi, Mackenzie! Thank you so much for your very kind comments, it warms my heart! I plan to do some more mingling soon, so many lovely bloggers have reached out (including yourself!) and I want to spend some time visiting their very interesting sites. This was a very splendid festive gathering, I enjoyed every minute!

  25. THE COOKIES!! Oh my goodness, its a cookie heaven! Mack, you’re amazing!!!! Such an awesome viral meet and greet I love it! The music was such an awesome touch to the post too. You’re so wonderfully creative!!! I’m surprised your neighbors aren’t knocking your door down because I’m sure your place smells AH-MAY-ZING!!

Hey everyone!! Just a little Bostonian girl over here living and enjoying the city life; come SIT BACK AND JUST LIVE by visiting my lifestyle blog and follow my life adventures @ http://sitbackandjustlive.wordpress.com

    xo, JJ

    1. Well now, it would NOT have been a party if you had not shown up 😉 I am SOOO glad you are enjoying this little shin-dig. I know you were wayyy too busy hanging out in the best place on earth, but you know I would have made your favorite cookie too!! Just for kicks- what is your fave, girl?! AND you will not believe this- the neighbors wanted coke last night. COKE. Like a plain coke. At 10 at night. SMH. hahah. Thanks for stopping by and sharing your link, girlfran. I can’t wait to read the rest of your posts at Disney! Wooohooo! xox

      1. Omg stopp your neighbors are hysterical!!! Do they only come knocking on your door?…They probably smelled the delicious cookies and needed a reason to have you open the door lol But you did in fact make my favorites; the plain sugar cookie (with sprinkles) anddd snickerdoodles but I also love a good ol’ oatmeal raisin! Did you even mention what your favorite is?!

        xo, JJ

      2. Right ?! 😂 They are such a riot! But the lady did say she would bring me wine for my troubles so hey, I’ll exchange some cilantro and come for some wine 🍷😏 and those are alll SUCH good choices!!!! My step dad has an oatmeal raisin recipe he makes every year and it’s my weakness!!!! I also love peppernuts. My family have a tradition of having a day of baking where we make the “secret family recipe” every year, but obviously being on this side of the country it wasn’t possible this year! Hope you are having an incredible day so far 😘

  26. Oh my gosh. I’m about to cook dinner but now all I can think about is dessert. Literally drooling over here. Thank you for hosting this little mingle! I debated commenting here but I’m new to the blogging world. I just started writing to chronicle my journey of fundraising for a charity called Team for Kids and training for the 2017 New York City Marathon. It’s still early on in the whole process, but any support would be greatly appreciated!!!! You guys can follow my journey of training and fundraising at http://allthemilesblog.wordpress.com.

    1. Awwww I am so glad you are enjoying!!!! It’s been hard for me to not just justify dessert as dinner for the last couple nights here 😉 I am so excited to check out your blog!!! It sounds like such a wonderful mission statement. I am so glad you commented, and I am a BIG runner so this is a treat for me too! Have a great rest of your week 🙂

  27. Oh. My. I am going to camp out under that tree and fill my gullet with cookies.
I like to run and eat then run some more. And then eat. So my blog name kind of makes sense: http://thehangryrunner.wordpress.com
It’s a little bit about my fitness journey (and sometimes fitness pizza into my face), some recipes, and random thoughts that happen while out running. And likely training for another ultra marathon. Cats outta the bag I guess.
Huge shout out to Mack for hosting this lovely soiree. Don’t suppose I can get some milk with these cookies? 🙂

    1. Hehehe “run to eat, and eat to run”!! That’s what I always say!!! Please help me! I am in cookie overload!!! And yes yes I have lots of milk 🙂 Because really- what are cookies without milk?! Thank you so much for stopping by and sharing! I absolutely love following your journey!

  28. Mack you are amazing! Truly. What a GREAT theme and I simply can’t believe you did all that baking.

I need to try those brownies soon! I love this mingle and jingle! This is such a fun way to meet people. Thanks for hosting Mack! My blog is http://www.runandlivehappy.com . Thanks! 😉

  31. Wow Mack… The party is rocking!! I’m back with jugs of hot wine, and milk for those who need to cut on all the sweetness 😉 I never thought a middle of the week Meet and Greet party could do so well…. And it is your first!!

I raise my glass to you, and all your lovely visitors 🙂 Cheers!! xx

    1. Yayyyyyy!!!!! I am so excited that people actually turned up! Wooohooo! And YES- you brought the wine so we are all set 🙂 Thanks for being so active here, helping with that mingle aspect 😉 I so greatly appreciate you! CHEERS! xo

      1. Mack, the party just reflects how great a blogger and a person you are! I have (I won’t say never, but I was tempted :P) rarely seen a Meet and Greet have this much success over 24h. Most of them go on for a whole weekend and don’t get as much action going!

You are an amazing person, and people know it 🙂 Those who didn’t come just weren’t aware we were partying or were doing stuff like open brain surgery or such!

Can’t wait for your next M & G!! (and you don’t have to cook for everybody next time… we’ll like you even if you don’t :P)

      2. Awww, thank you soooooo much for all your encouragement! I truly thought my only two readers when I started this blog would be DJ and I’s moms. Haha. Your sweet words mean the world much to me! And honestly- I had no idea that Meet & Greets were traditionally on weekends, lol. So now I am especially glad it didn’t flop!!! Thanks again- and I never turn down an opportunity to cook so I guess we’ll see 😉 Hehe

      3. You’re probably going to create a new fashion! Partying during the week is great, it gives all weekend to visit new blogs adresses gathered during the mingling! 🙂 Reminding me that I have to update my post and add the last links 🙂

  32. Mack, I have to hand it to you,…your party is fabulous! I loved meeting all these terrific bloggers, and especially adored the cookies recipes…working on turning my own kitchen into a bakery at the moment. Maybe the smells of baking cookies will help poor Cyranny figure out just where the house is. I think I would rather have a mid-week party than a weekend one actually…the weekends are so full of other things. Like laundry and mopping that it is hard to get out and visit.

    1. Tehehhe. That is so great (Good luck, Cyranny 😉 )!!! And thanks so much 🙂 Happy baking to ya, Suze! I feel ya about those weekends!!!! Time to play catch up only to feel so behind- can I get an Amen!?!? Lol. Have such a great rest of your week!!!

  33. Thanks for inviting me to the mingle and Jingle ! It’s nice to meet everyone ! The cookies all look so delicious. I hope if anyone would like to check out my blog called Reflections of Love which is about life, faith unemployment and my journey with my mom who has Alzheimer’s disease ! You can find it at http://www.alwaysamomcom.wordpress.com
I would be happy to have you come and visit me ! 😊

    1. Thank you for sharing your journey with us <3 I feel honored to have the chance to check it out. I will certainly be visiting 🙂 Best wishes to you!!!!

  34. Ok…. Me again… But Mack told me to come back as many times as I wanted! And I am still licking my fingers like a child! I just wanted to share Suze’s latest post… because she’s talking about the party!!

    http://suziland.net/2016/12/gee-thanks-meet-greet

Oh, and while I’m here… Just in case you’re in the mood for a short poetry-like post of mine 😉

    https://cyranny.wordpress.com/2016/12/07/floating-thoughts/

    Until later, maybe 🙂

    1. Once again, I am just giggling like a nut over here. DJ keeps going, “what are you laughing at now”?! That post was too good by Suze. I always just LOVE your poetry too. You are quite the word smith, Cyranny! And thanks again for bringing the party 🙂

      1. Wordsmith… I like that! I can just picture myself hitting on an anvil… Trying to make syllables fit what I wanted to say…. lol

  35. Thank you for the invite! Sorry, I’m so late to the party. My name is Katy and I write at katyslifestory.com. I have had 2 pregnancy losses, both little girls, and we are continuing to try to start a family. I also love dogs and write about them quite often as well!

    1. Hi Katy!!! So good to see you here. You are just fashionably late, no problem at all 😉 Thank you for sharing your journey with us. I have enjoyed your writing, and your story touches my heart. Prayers for you and your family <3 I will certainly be staying in touch 🙂

  36. Those cookies oh my oh my!!!!! I need them! My boyfriend peeked over and said “are you looking at food again? We just ate dinner!” And I said “babe it’s okay, it’s dessert!”

That being said (lol) for all who don’t know me I am a passionate Health and Wellness blogger and a soon to be Holistic Nutritionist! I stand by what I said about those cookies because above all else, I believe in balance. Check me out at http://www.standingstrongwellness.com

  47. This has been one of the best Meet & Greets I’ve ever participated in. What a great hostess you are, Mackenzie! What I love about your blog is how much of your heart and yourself you share. I’ve been reaching out to people, so I’ll finally leave my calling card. My blog contains essays on current events, articles, poetry, and, randomly, fiction about kitties. So, it’s eclectic–something for everyone. I’m a writer who works in retail, so I write about retail too. Because it’s insane. https://amypunt.com/

I’ve enjoyed meeting new people through this – so much fun!

  55. Wow – I thought cookies in the blog you posted today were beautiful – these all look beautiful AND yummy. What a fun idea “Mingle and Jingle” – love it Mackenzie!

    1. Thank you so much, Linda!!! I was blown away by how much of a hit this little party was. We devoured those goodies way too quickly too- hehe. I’d love to do something like this again soon! Time to brainstorm. Have a great rest of your weekend 🙂

      1. It looked very fun – you should definitely do it again Mackenzie … looks like a hit. Wait til you are done with school and have a lot more time to bake up a storm and be the hostess with the mostest. 🙂

      2. Yesss! I cannot wait till I can do this again. I think after school ends and we are home to celebrate the holidays this will have to happen again 🙂 I’m glad you liked the idea! Happy New Year, Linda!

      3. I did think it was a very good idea. Happy New Year back at you Mackenzie and the same to you. Hope you are relaxing with a quiet evening after the frantic rush and whirlwind holiday visits in the month of December.
